Blissful

Health is not valued till sickness comes.
- Thomas Fuller -

It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.
- Mahatma Gandhi -

My dad finally got rid of the life of carrying 2 bags of lung fluids around for a month. It was a boring dreadful month. #confinement

Thank you, thank you and thank you.
Words can't describe how I feel right now. #feelingcontent #blissful #happiness :)

A thought occurred to me when my dad was being diagnosed with cancer. He must be living too comfortably, that's why God decided to give him a rather challenging assignment to deal with at this age. This assignment not only meant for him, but for us, as a family member as well. We're all going too easy with our lives.
#takethingsforgranted

People nowadays are so scared when heard about cancer because we're ignorant. We know too less about something we should know, something we're supposed to know. Everyone gave me that startled look when I told them about my dad. "What?! Cancer?! Are you f*cking serious?" Yea, I was there with him when the result was being announced. I dunno what reaction I put on my face, but I can be pretty sure deep down I was as calm as lake water.

Then everyone is so concerned about him, that he would receive few calls a day and few visits a day over the weekend and when he was being hospitalized. This proved to me how strong his connections are. Even a friend from Cameron purposely came to visit him after knowing his condition. So much better than some fake relatives, asking via phone, and the worst part of all is that he asked my aunt rather than calling my dad directly. He got defended by my aunts and my sis, saying maybe he doesn't want to disturb my dad. Yea, right. And both me and my sis got criticised because ACCORDING TO HIM we were too high-profile in social media (and we were like, huh? Wtf?! All I did was sharing videos. Let alone my sis, she didn't even post anything on her wall). Whatever. Generation gap. I had mentioned this before in my previous post, but every time I thought of this, it makes my water boiling up. Ugh. I swear I'm not going to meet them if they ever come KL. I'll make up whatever reasons I can just to avoid meeting them. #toxicpeople #escapist

For people like my dad who loves to look as handsome as he can (he used to comb his hair even though his hair was too short to be combed) to becoming a bald-headed uncle, it was too painful to see. He said - there's no option left for him, is there? - with that pussy car look from Shrek movie. :'(

I wish nothing more than to have his health back and start enjoying his retirement life.

Sisters

I think I'm lucky to have this girl walking into my life. We were roommates, hostel mates, college friends and most importantly - SISTERS! I would never use BFF in my life anymore, because nothing would last forever. Instead, the word sister fits our relationship perfectly. ♡

We meet annually. It's hard to cater our time with both our studies and works, but if you're to make effort, you'll eventually meet. Maybe longer time is needed, but never mind.
It was 3 years ago since we lived together in the small room during my college era. I remembered when I went back to hostel, realised I've got new roommate but she's nowhere to be seen. I can see that she's definitely a k-pop fans. With k-pop idol calendar, idol poster... And I thought she's those neat and tidy person. But I was wrong.

Weeks after weeks, her things piled up like mountain, which make cleaning the room more difficult before she came. But thanks to her, I got to know friends living in the same level. And her friends from lowest floor always complaining we were making too much noise (p.s. we stayed the highest floor).

The first day she came, our room had got water leakage problem, she went to seek help from other roommates. So when we gathered for dinner the first time, other roommates brought out the topic 'how we first met her?', and we rolled with laughter. That memory seemed so faraway right now. Sigh. I missed those days, so carefree.

There must be frictions living together, because we were strangers at first. We have to do whatever to accommodate one another's need. Like cleaning, cooking, washing dishes... a little disputes strengthen our relationship. I'm glad we talked things out rather than keeping in the heart. Honesty is the best policy after all.

We might be meeting once in a year, maybe will be lesser in coming years due to our works, but text from each other once in awhile help to keep our relationship going. :D
I need to know if you're doing fine in your life. Haha. We became friends out of option, and you can walk away anytime you want. In my previous post, I have mentioned about the 'dislike' period, I'm so glad that you passed my 'dislike' period. HAHAHA!

p/s: I don't think our stories can fit in just a blog post anyway. Haha.
Thank you for walking into my life, putting up with me for my bad temper, and hasn't walk away until now. I hope you stay till the last day of my life, sister. :)

- 家 Home -

Since I gotten my camera last October, I always have that thought - to capture everything that falls into the perfect angle with my camera.

The weather was so HOT and unbearable. Still, I got my camera and decided to go to the pedestrian bridge nearby my house to capture the beautiful sunset. I always love #sunset & the #sea. Dun ask me why, I can't even explain myself.

The view from the bridge.
I guess I went out too early. :(

The other side.

I just love this effect - miniature.

Under the bridge. :D

The playground nearby my house.

The swing.

Doggie.

I should have go to the bridge around 7pm.
Aih. But the view from the backyard of my house not bad too. :DD

When the sun dipped into the horizon...

Panorama view

Due to the HOT weather, mosquitoes are such a pain! I'm glad I did this photo-shooting.

Since I'm talking about home today, I had just finished a Japanese drama relating to "home" recently. The drama was starred by Kimura Takuya and Ueno Aya.

I'm Home アイムホーム

The story is about Kimu Taku lost his memory of recent 5/6 years in an accident. He had 10 keys with him but he had no idea what the keys are for. In his eyes, he saw both his wife and his son are wearing mask. He used to be a bad guy prior to his memory lost but he had changed 360° of his attitude and everyone around him was too shocked, some even think he's playing out the good guy scene. The drama evolved by how he eventually find out what the keys are for and how he finally get to see his wife's and son's real face.

To be frank, I never watched dramas that Kimu Taku starred in but I think this one is not bad.
Please watch the drama to find out more. :)

p/s: I can't imagine if one day I has to move out from this wonderful place that I had stayed since the day I was born. It's good to be home. :D

- Brew Time -

Since we start working, we don't meet as often as we used to. Finally, here we are -  Empire Damansara.

It looked like it had buried for many centuries.

Captured by me.
She looks pretty, ain't she?

And I'm not. :'(
Messy hair and looking fat.

The umbrellas spot. (I)

(II)

It gave us a hard time on deciding what to eat after exploring the place. We planned to dine in Metal Box but the crowds were crazy. Therefore we went to...

Brew Time

The waiter gave us this after we made our payment and we were kinda taken aback.
And he said this is the number for the table that we sit.

The glass with white bubbles - Iced Doi Chaang (Vietnam coffee). RM6.50
It gave a nice scent. Real coffee scent.
The other one - Single Americano. RM5
They were cheaper from ala carte as we ordered from the brunch menu.

The one on top - Grand Poached Egg (RM13.50)
The one below - French Scrambled Egg (RM8.50)

Found another spot for photo-session. :D
But we were afraid there are cars coming real fast from behind.

Me & my sis.
I really think my mom possesses photography skill. xD

****************************************

I had forgotten to post the following photos when I went to KL area last October.

Kolam in Fanrenheit 88.

Diwali lanterns at the entrance of Fanrenheit 88.

Another kolam.

Kolam in Pavilion.

We were quite lucky as that day was also Fossil 30th Anniversary.
They held an event - to guess how many of the Fossil boxes are there.

These were the artwork from Lim Kok Wing students.
Awesome right?

Robot, piled up using Fossil boxes.

 KL

p/s: Exam is around the corner. And I still go here and there. :X
Okay, it's time to sit down and start studying. I must fulfilled what I had promised myself.

- Fong Lye #141011 -

Someone said it's her birthday, so we should eat something nice and preferably classy.
Therefore, here we are - Fong Lye.

蓬萊茶館

Photo-session before dining.
My mom. My sis.

My mom's photography skill is better than my sis! :D

Oolong Tea. The tea gives a nice scent~

紅豆冰
With sesame ice-cream!

番茄炒蛋燜魚

Candid shot of my dad!
He's teasing a kid sitting at the next table.
That kid is adorable!

So on that morning, I went to make my passport. The queue was crazy! Despite I reached the Immigration Department at 6.45 a.m., I gotten the number of 104. :/
And I spent half of my day there. I skipped Japanese class. Feeling bad because we went to Paradigm Mall after that. I bought a jeans legging at H&M - it triggered misfortune that befalls on me. I fell, hurt my left foot and a knock to my head. My mom said if I went to class, this won't be happening.

p/s: All photos are taken with Fujifilm X30. ♡ So my photography isn't that bad after all.
Ohh, and Happy Birthday, MOM! <3

- CNY -

My aunt found a vase when cleaning up her house and realised that she should make good use of it. Thus, she went to buy some flowers. Her sister suggested her to buy real flowers as real flowers represent sincerity. After several considerations and bickering with her daughter, she bought lilies and red coloured plum blossoms.

Flower arrangement by my cousin, Heather.

I bought culottes from the recent Hatyai trip. I love the Aztec pattern and was hoping to get one all along. Finally! :) The top was bought 2 years back in Kenanga Wholesale City Mall.

#ootd

Ohh, we went cycling too, on chor 3. Before that, we did mo mo jung at cousin's house. An exhausted exercise. Half and hour - although I couldn't stand completing it - and I already soaked in sweats. We ended up cycling for only an hour. Body ache. And also too hot. CNY weather.

Family.

Went dinner on chor 5. I found nice decoration in the restaurant.

Tanglung.

The Nth times of lou sang.
